Snap, Crackle and Pop

In Uncategorized on March 22, 2013 at 3:36 pm

It was back to ‘snapping’ this week with a shoot at the home of  photographer and documentary maker Jane Hilton whose pictures of the workers in the legal brothels of Nevada will be on show at the Eleven Gallery in May. We were blessed with a glimpse of sunshine and Jefferson made the most of it when shooting the rooms on the first floor.

We also employed one or two tricks to get the images to work, for example raising a stool on a camera bag to close the gap between it and the framed collection of belt buckles on the wall

‘Crackle’ was the sound of the delicious toasted sandwich I had with House & Garden Picture Editor Owen Gale, and also the crispy mini croissant I tucked in to when having coffee with photographer Sarah Hogan. The ‘Pop’ was courtesy of champagne house Perrier-Jouet at the Saatchi Gallery launch of the tree they have made in collaboration with Tord Boontje. The tree features the Perrier-Jouet flowers as ceramic blooms and instead of fruits there are flutes of champagne. Not a bad way to wind up the week.
